I’m not sure I get this post… At 52, the opportunities for me as an engineer in my 31st year of working professionally have only increased. It’s more a question of *choosing* between them rather than struggling to figure out how to continue.

And, if it were a struggle, the options presented here are incredibly general in nature… not much specific about conquering the biggest obstacle, which would be ageism… which this article has a whiff of?

Perhaps the author may not know many engineers beyond 40? 😉
